After Daisy died in January, we had a hole in the family. It was too hard to get a new dog though. Finally this last month we decided to start looking for a new dog. We love golden retrievers and dreamed of having one some day but they are very hard to find and very expensive to buy. One day I was looking at all the shelters near by for a new dog and sending pictures to grant at work. As we were searching, a coworker from another department came into grants office and asked if they knew anyone who would want a golden.... It was like it was fate!! This first picture was Grant and my first meeting with Shepherd to make sure he would be a good fit. We had to wait a long long couple of weeks to finally be able to bring him home He has made our family complete again. The day we picked him up he followed us right to the car and jumped in like he knew he was going to his new home. He is a gentle giant who sheds like crazy! He is very well trained and the entire family is in love with him.
