We had another successful color run this year! It was a lot of work to pull off, but is always well worth it in the end. It always brings me so much joy to see the families come out and spend time together. That was my main goal in holding this activity as a fundraiser, is to make money for our school and create family memories at the same time. The weather turned out perfect, which is always a gamble in Idaho. We had a great turn out and everyone seemed to have fun which is a plus. Grant and the boys didn't make the run this year because Carter had lacrosse games in Utah during the same time as the race. As soon as the race was done, I changed clothes and hopped in the car with our school principal, Sara Sanders, and we car pooled to the boys games together. It made for a crazy day, but was all well worth it!! Not only did we have a great race, but we raised enough money to help the school purchase new tablets for the older grades. We also have a great start towards the walking path that we will hopefully be putting in at the school this next fall!! It will be a huge addition to our school and I am so excited!!
Being apart of the PTO this year has been a joy! I wish I had more time to put into it, but have had such a great time supporting our amazing teachers and staff and getting to know the kids better. Next year hopefully the color run will be help at our new walking path at the school!!
