The kids absolutely had to see spongebob in 3D!! Luckily Grant won the lottery on that one! He took the 4 older kids to the movie while Maddox and I shopped for pinewood derby supplies for Carters last pinewood derby.
We went to blast off, an indoor ball pit play area. The kids love going there. Our neighbor Tayler came with us, along with our good friends the Hammonds. Aunt Camie and her kids joined the fun too. We received a surprise visit from Grandma Eddie, which made our day!!
Allivia, Ellie and I went on a girls only date to see the new Cinderella movie. It was sooooo cute!! Afterwords we went to one of our favorite bakeries for cake-pops and sugar cookies.
Carter competed in his last pinewood derby and did pretty well considering he decided to do it 2 days before the race!
I always like to do an art project. They are fun to look back on. These ones unfortunately did not turn out so well!! The kids ended up mixing all the colors to much and made giant brown abstract art! I guess all that matters in the end is that they had fun, and they did.
One of our kids favorite things to do lately, is go rollerblading. We are all for it since its great exercise. They all do great and we have a lot of fun!
Our niece Kacey in Phoenix, mailed us a flat Kacey to take pictures with at some of our favorite places in Idaho. We had a lot of fun with her at the green belt and the Temple. Grant photo shopped her wake surfing with him, and climbing Tablerock with me, and at the soda springs geyser with the kids. It was cute! Hopefully her school project got an A+++!
We had one rainy cold day, so we took the kids to the Artitorium. They had a lot of fun creating at the computers, making music, and watching themselves on the green screens. Its a fun place to take kids at least once.
We went up to Green Canyon Hot springs on Friday night. I think if you ask the kids, it was the highlight of the whole trip! Most of our kids don't love the water, but they love green canyon because of the shallow end and the warm water. I think we spent an entire hour just doing cannon balls in the deep end. Once it was dark out, we went and sat in the hot tubs and watched the stars. It was beautiful! We had fun hiking around the grounds too. It was a beautiful day! I hope we will make it up to camp at least once this summer.
We went bowling at Fat Cats in Rexburg. It is the funnest, family friendly place! They have bowling, movies and arcades, and the best pizza and bread sticks, all geared to the family. we will most definitely be going there again!! One of the best parts of this day was visiting Grants mission President who lives in Rexburg. I am still kicking myself that I forgot to get a picture. They showed the kids Grants tie and picture that hang on a wall in their home. We spoke of his mission and about daily life of raising kids. They raised 8, and it was so great to talk to a couple so seemed to experience the same things at the same stages in life as we are right now! It is great to have such a great example to look up to in raising our own kids.
We had such an amazing week!! Kids went to bed tired every night, and we created so many fun memories together as a family!!
