As a family we saw many miracles in our home this Christmas season. It seemed the more we tried to give and serve others, it came back 10 fold!! I know my Heavenly Father is aware of me and my family and I feel so blessed!!!
One really neat experience we had was the opportunity to donate to a local family homeless shelter called the Haven. All summer Allivia and Ellie and a friend and cousin held bake sales to raise money for charity. We were able to take that money and buy socks, underwear and diapers for the children in this shelter. We also donated old coats and clothes from the kids. It was humbling hearing about the over 50 children in this shelter right now. Many enter the shelter with no socks, no underwear or coat. They live in a 1 room apartment the size of a hotel room. Its nice to remember that no matter how little we may think we have, that we really are so blessed! Its important to remember to give to others who are in more need that we are. It was a wonderful Christmas filled with love and service. I love my Savior and the fact that he was born into this earth in Humble circumstances and was the most selfless, loving and charitable example for all of us!! Merry Christmas!
